Motivation Monday

If you're anything like any other human being on this planet then you probably have this feeling of inadequacy when it comes to your life. Or at least sometimes. The feeling of not being where you want to be nudges at you, makes you feel like you've fallen short of your "5 year plan." The stress that comes from society that is put on us is actually what makes us feel this way and it's about damn time we stop worrying about what society thinks of us. You have to remember that you are where you're supposed to be in life. Not a minute sooner and not a minute later. All the people, places, and experiences you've come across were meant to lead you here. Don't feel for any second that you've failed because you haven't; you're just living and you're doing the best you can.
Give yourself the credit that you deserve. Pat yourself on the freakin back and realize that you've come pretty far. The fact that you're constantly questioning whether or not you could be doing more says a lot about you as a person; you're not one to settle or get comfortable. Your constant wonder if you're doing enough is another example of you being a go getter and wanting more. Stop putting so much pressure on yourself to accomplish and achieve everything today. Things take time, and great lives take a life to make! Appreciate how far you've come, express gratitude for getting out of the funks you've been in, and show up for yourself. There is no such thing as "where you're supposed to be". Your plan is your plan and it's master is you.
HAPPY MONDAY!

Falltastic

Tell me; would it really be considered October if I didn't take a trip to the Pumpkin Patch? Of course not. Although, I'd much rather want to take pictures in a cute sweater outfit to really get into the Fall spirit but with 90+ degree weather here, this is the best I can do. My go to right now is light layers, and I say that lightly. The sun was beaming in this shoot so I did the best I could. I'll have you know though that this year I did finally carve a pumpkin! I don't recall ever doing one so I'm pretty happy and proud of myself. Back to the light layering, I did my take on the white tee under a slip dress and I love it! Since I can't really bundle up without dying of heat exhaustion, I went for an "airy" cardigan. The cheetah print booties are for a pop of print. Enjoy the look and happy Friday!

Paraiso Juice Bar #MeetandEat

Ladies and gentelmen, the latest craze of putting Hot Cheetos on everything is something that I am here for! If you are a Hot Cheeto lover like I am, you're going to wanna try this latest creation. I tried my first "Cali Burrito" from Paraiso Juice Bar in La Mirada and boy oh boy, it was delicious! So let me dial it back for you; a Cali Burrito is a huge burrito that consists of these ingredients: carne asada, fries, crema (cream), avocado, cheese, and hot Cheetos! It's rolled in a burrito with love and they also serve it with some chile if you're feeling spicy. I know what you're thinking, "Does it taste good though?!" My first bite exceeded my expectations; think Alberto's asada fries but with a Hot Cheetos crunch kick!

If you've read my previous food tastings or you know me well, then you know I have a love for elotes. This place also serves elotes and esquites (corn in a cup). But the best part is there are ELEVEN different choices of chips to choose from! You got your Hot Cheetos, Takis, Lays, or my personal fave, cheddar Ruffles! Let me tell you, tastes just as good as the Hot Cheetos elote that's been going around. I was excited to try because cheddar Ruffles are my fave chips eva. If that's not all, they also serve Agua Frescas (Fruit water), chamangos, tortas, smoothies, and more. So if you aren't already intrigued go ahead and check these pictures out to see the goodness for yourself. Try not to drool!

You can find Paraiso Juice Bar at: 13914 Imperial Hwy, La Mirada, CA, 90638

Don't forget to tell them I sent ya! ;)

Motivation Monday

I feel as though I have so many ideas in my head of things I want to accomplish. They also range from different expertise and areas of my life. Lately I've been feeling as though I've gone backwards in my growth and it's left me feeling discouraged to even continue. The thing is, what keeps me from giving up is knowing that in my heart, I can't stand to see myself without accomplishing any of these. I would be doing myself a disservice if I didn't even try. With trying to become a blogger, there's been a lot of obstacles. Nevertheless I have overcome them and kept on. I've kept on because one, I'm not one to give up and two, when I want something and I enjoy doing it, nothing can get in that way. This is your reminder to not give up.
When it feels as though you have reached a roadblock or a point where everything seems to be going wrong, keep going. When you feel discouraged, let down, or like you aren't enough, KEEP GOING. It is in these times where your perseverance to continue crucially matter. These setbacks are what are going to determine your strength. Are you going to give  up after one mishap or are you going to keep going because you are strong as f*ck and you don't take no for an answer? I like to think of the negative times or roadblocks as tests. When nothing seems to be going right, I feel as though I'm being tested. I'm being tested to see how badly I really want it all. And it is my job to prove to myself, the world, God, the universe, that I will overcome adversity at all costs because I want it THAT BAD. The bad times are temporary and they are there to test your faith and your worth. If you're worth it and you really want it, you'll fight on.

HAPPY MONDAY!
