Incognito

Camo is making a comeback and I am here for it. (Although, I never really stopped loving the print.) Not only is it making a major Fall comeback but it's coming in all shapes and sizes, along with styles. Let's think less association with street style and more camo chic; if you will. I had been looking everywhere for some camo pants. But not just any kind, I wanted some that were baggy but still fitting around the waist, and not the jogger kind. I wanted the original type of material. Low and behold I found these on the NAKD fashion website. (Little disclaimer: When I finally received them in the mail, I tried them on and the zipper was broken. Only disappoint I had with these.) I instantly loved them though. I'm loving the color pop of Fall lately so I wanted to make these chic. I added these Topshop yellow heels for that color pop and a white crop to help balance the bagginess of the pants. I loved this outfit and I hope you do too. Enjoy the look!

Motivation Monday

It's a no brainer and a known fact that in order to achieve something you have to work for it. Want something? Go out and get it. But chase it with full force. Go after it with every inch of passion and soul you have in your body. In order to be happy with your life and your successes you're going to have to do some hard things. The things worth having don't come easy. So before you start know that you're in for some hard work. It's going to be an uphill battle but if you really want your success in whatever you want THAT BAD, you'll do whatever it takes. Nothing gets in the way of a determined person with a fuel from passion.
In order to achieve a goal, you have to have a plan; or at least some sort of direction. I do feel however, that when you have a plan you're much more inclined to have a sense of direction to follow it. A lot of people say a lot of things but never follow through. Be a person of action, not words. You can't achieve anything if all you're doing is talking and not setting forth your mind to achieve them. Hard work and determination are not for the weak minded. Be consistent, be determined, and whatever you do, DON'T GIVE UP. No matter how many times you fail, no matter how many times you feel like it isn't working out. If this is a goal that you truly want and are passionate about, you'll get there one way or another.
HAPPY MONDAY!

Sass n' Stripes

You know when you revisit your closet and find something you forgot you had? And then it's like you have something new to wear again. That's what happened with this jumpsuit. I totally forgot about it and so when I came across it again, I was excited to restyle it. This time around I did a more street style look because I wanted to bring out my platform Vans to play. Since the jumpsuit is a black and white minimal color scheme, I kept the accessories light. If it got chilly I brought along my embroidered rose jacket to wear on top. This outfit was perfect for an art walk in the LA Arts District! Enjoy the look!

Motivation Monday

There's plenty of words to describe the word confidence. Some might think of being confident in oneself. Or feeling confident in something or someone that goes hand and hand with trusting in them. Feeling confident with yourself means that you have self love towards yourself or your own abilities to do something. You are confident that you can get things done, or you are a confident being that almost nothing scares you. If you're confident in yourself, kudos to you! It's taken me a whole while to finally be confident with my own body enough to not give two f*cks about what others think, and it's taken me a long time to be confident with my own being to not let anyone's perception or opinion of me get to me.
With that kind of confidence comes the notion that you can do anything you set your mind to; as it is true! Whatever you want in life, you can have. If you're confident in yourself, you know that you'll get it done and at all costs it'll be achieved! But don't get confused with thinking that you will never mess up. With trials come tribulations. With lessons come mistakes. You have to know that as long as your mind is set nothing will stop you but that doesn't mean that you're going to struggle. Nothing worth having comes easy! It's going to take work but if you believe in yourself and are unstoppable, you'll get there. You're going to fail, but you're also going to achieve and win; and that's what matters most.
HAPPY MONDAY!

Stripes & Layers

The only way to start acting like it's Fall is dressing like it. However, when it's still eighty plus degrees out, you have to figure something out. Here in LA, layers are key; and by layers I mean light layers! You can't go around with long sleeves and sweaters just yet. (Although I wish I could.) I wanted to start implementing Fall style in my wardrobe so I thought layering slightly would help feed my Fall hunger. I also decided to take it a step further and mixed a floral print with stripes; yes, it can be done! This striped shirt from Zara was the perfect starting piece, so I added the floral print for some movement. This denim skirt is a favorite find from Target so I had to give it a go! A pop of color with the cognac booties and the straw bag from Summer was the finishing touch to this otherwise "Fall look" - LA style of course. Enjoy the look!
