Navy Nude

I could not be happier that it is officially Fall and I cannot wait any longer to start wearing all the appropriate colors. Target has been killing the skirt game lately and I'm all for it. This navy corduroy with the flower embroidery instantly caught my eye and I had to have it, especially for $20! I went with a soft neutral color palette and paired it with my olive green heels and an off the shoulder nude shirt (because honestly, I can never get tired of the off the shoulder!) I really can't wait for the colder days where I can definitely layer this with a jacket or long line cardi. This will suffice for now. Enjoy the look!

Extra, Never Basic

I'll admit that I've been called extra plenty of times; and that is in the sense that I overdress or go the extra mile to look more than casual. But to be honest, I don't take offense to it and I take it more of a compliment if anything. This tee is one of my favorite graphic tees because it's a saying I wholeheartedly agree with, DON'T BE BASIC! Haha. I've been loving pairing these tees with a skirt because not only is it comfy, but it adds a little extra to the outfit. Pretty sure and I'm hoping that this is one of my last "Summerish" looks because I'm ready for Fall wardrobe. Heres to hoping the weather cools down! Enjoy the look!

Motivation Monday

I know that with all that is going on in the world right now, it's tough to find focus, solitude, and positivity. Its challenging. Disaster after disaster and we can't seem to catch a break. I know that it's hard to try and enjoy our lives because it seems selfish to do so; it's as if we're selfish for continuing to live a normal life while others are suffering to get theirs back together. But trust me when I tell you that focusing on the negative isn't going to make it better. When there's a problem or a disaster, all that we can do is help. Help in all shape and forms. Whether it is prayer, donations, labor; anything is helpful! Let us not focus on the disaster itself but let's focus on the future and help rebuild all that is lost. Have faith in knowing that God has us covered and he will help those in need.
Regardless of the present and what has happened, HAVE FAITH. Even though common sense is telling you to be scared, fear not. Having faith requires a lot of effort in trying to see the best and hope for the best. I'd rather live a life in hoping and praying for the best than being a pessimistic person. You gain nothing from focusing on the negatives. You'll attract nothing more than just negatives. Yes, there's darkness or there was but now is the time to rebuild and see the light. In every situation, there will always be a positive. There will always  something better that derives from that. Things happen for a reason and I know that's a tough pill to swallow with a natural disaster like this but the faster you understand it, the easier you'll be. We are not in control of Mother Nature but we can prepare, pray, and have faith. Have faith that with darkness comes light.
HAPPY MONDAY!

Chingona AF

Happy first day of Fall! I wish this was a more 'fall-y" outfit but it will have to do as this LA weather is raining one day and ninety degrees the next. What is a Southern California girl to do? Layer of course! The art of layering is going to be in full effect. I know this isn't much but it's a start. A cute denim jacket is perfect to throw over your cute dress to keep yourself warm during the morning chills. Not all dresses have to be dressed up though. Being cute and comfortable is an option which is why I opted for my Reebok Classics for a cute but comfy look. Also, check out my custom writing on the back of my jacket: CHINGONA AF! POR VIDA! Enjoy the look!
