Motivation Monday

I think I've realized that I'm the type of person that would rather try something and try it again, to make sure I tried my best rather than not try at all. The reason behind that is that I can't seem to live with the regret or the "what if" that will forever taunt me if I don't. My thinking has always been try with all you've got so that in the end if it doesn't work out, you know in your heart that you tried your best and that, I can live with. A lot of things are scary to us, we live in fear of failing. But what we forget to see is that failing and trying and failing and trying again is a part of the process. Without trial and error, we wouldn't learn. We wouldn't see what works and what doesn't. Nothing is going to be perfect the first time around, that certainly wouldn't teach us anything.
When opportunity presents itself to you, you grab it with both hands and run with it. You don't contemplate it, worry about it, or get scared of it. It comes to you for a reason and it's probably because it's meant for you. Wouldn't you rather live a life of chance and experience knowing that you did what you could with what you had? Or would you rather play it safe and live monotonous instead? I don't know about you but I'd rather take the latter. I want to push myself as far as I can and see what I'm capable of. We're all capable of  so much but it takes some time and risks to see how far we can go. You can't be scared of the unknown, it's the unknown for a reason. It's going to always be unknown and in order to find out what if, you have to take the risk and see for yourself. Go after the desires of your heart, push yourself to the limit, don't be afraid, and if you fail, pick yourself up and try again.

Oh, Pretty Lavender

Now that it's Summer it's time for as little clothing as possible. (At least in my opinion!) I veer towards the crop tops and lightweight clothing for reasons as obvious as not trying to sweat so much this Summer. I live for peasant pants and even more so when they're the perfect length for short people like myself. These cute ones are from Bold Boutique and I was so excited when they were flared, hello 70's vibes! I thought it was perfect to pair it with a simple white top. Adding turquoise jewelry is also a favorite boho trend of mine, so on they went! With the platform sandals I was definitely serving some boho/70's vibes; just how I like it. Enjoy the look!

Denim Deal

It's a bit of a trend here on the blog but I am really digging the wrap tie around tops lately. This denim one is something I had never seen before so I was so happy when Shein sent it over so I can style. Of course I was feeling boho so I paired it with this beautiful tie dye printed skirt from Bold Boutique! The denim was a perfect match for this flowy skirt. I've been living for loose fitting fits lately because they exude that Summer carefree feeling for me. I topped it with a hat because it was scorching outside and easy on mules for the pop of black. I hope you enjoy the look and happy start of Summer!

DIY Fringe Hem Jeans + Embroidery Video

Hey guys! I recently went on a little DIY project of my own and created three types of jean looks for you and also embroidered them as well. I've been wearing some of the jeans already in previous looks so in case you were wondering how I made them, check out the video here:

Don't forget to give the video a like and subscribe to my channel if you haven't already!

Motivation Monday

When things go left instead of right, it's easy for us to lose faith. What we lose from this is trusting the process. We also, fail to see the bigger picture. We don't realize that everything takes time and with time comes clarity, patience, and gifts if we're worthy enough. Things might be tough or they may not be what you want them to be but you have to understand that they will at some point. You just have to wait it out. The bad times aren't going to last forever and if it's meant to be, you'll have it. But in the meantime, it's up to you to stay faithful and believe.
I've always been a person of trying to see the best in people; not trying to judge those who are different than me, and rather try to put myself in their shoes to understand instead of judge. Understanding why someone is the way they are is a much better approach than simply to judge and disagree because they aren't what you expect them to be. In a world full of takers, be a person who gives Pray to be a good person, the one who forgives, sees the positive, and knows when to keep good faith because she needs it. At times, we may not see forgiving as the best but holding onto something that angers you is far more detrimental. If you can forgive and let go, you are that much of a better person. Instead of trying to be the one with money or the one with the best assets, be the person with a good heart. WE NEED MORE OF THOSE IN THIS WORLD. Have a heart of gold and walk around spreading your shine. The ones who walk with positivity and faith are the ones who are able to move mountains.

Greenery

There's a reason why I like the Spring and Summer seasons the most and it's one word; dresses. I used to be the biggest tomboy (As in my mom had to be me to get into a dress)  when I was younger and now I prefer to wear a dress over pants any day! They're just so easy to throw on, they complete a whole look without too much effort, and let's not forget that they fit my frame just how I like it. I got this simple green colored one from Forever 21 sometime ago and thought it was perfect to wear on a sunny Friday afternoon. I threw on this oversized jean vest to add more to the outfit and the snakeskin sandals were a nice pop of print. Happy Friday and enjoy the look!

Your Favorite Latina

First things first, I'm Latina and I'm proud to be. During this day and age where a Mexican is considered someone that needs to "go back to Mexico", you bet your ass I'm going to slap LATINA in bold letters on my jeans for everyone to see. This is just one of the many reasons why I love DIY projects on my own clothes because of the ability to do whatever I want to do. These jeans are just 1 of 3 that I distressed and embroidered in my latest video here if you wanna take a look! I paired these with my newest top from Lasula which btw, loving the lace up detail. I'm pretty much a lover of anything lace up so this one was a no brainer. I kept it simple with my flatform sandals from Boohoo and topped it off with a hat. Don't forget to check out Lasula to see all the cute stuff they have! And if something catches your eye, use the code KINA24 for an extra discount! I hope you enjoy the look!
