Feels Like Summer

Summer is just one month away so of course I'm prepping myself. However, it pretty much feels like Summer year around here in LA, so we're just going to work with that. Dresses are my go to for anything and everything so naturally because Target is also my go to, why not wear a Target dress? I'm a lover of all things boho as you already know so this dress was a must have. Instead of going for sandals like I normally would, I've been obsessing over these mules I've gotten from DSW so I wore them instead. I really liked how casual yet cute this outfit turned out. Enjoy the look!

Not sure if it's the "Napoleon Complex" or just the way I am, but I've always kinda been a firecracker when tested. Ever heard of that quote, "Though she be but little, she is fierce." Yup that's me! I guess it's because some people underestimate me and my capabilities because I'm small and it just fuels something inside of me to prove them wrong even more. Don't judge the gift based on its size! Anyway, this whole rant leads me to meaning of the word that I DIYed on my jeans. "Picosa" is spicy in Spanish and I've been told plenty of times I am "Chiquita pero picosa" aka, I'm small but spicy. So being as I am, I thought it was pretty fitting to plaster on my jeans to let everyone know what's up. That's the thing about fashion, anything goes! (At least in my book!) So here I am wearing rose embroidered jeans to showcase my creativity. I let the jeans speak for themselves and popped with the color red (also my fave). I did film a video on how to hem your jeans like this so keep a lookout for that! ;) Enjoy the look!

Motivation Monday

One thing I enjoy doing is exploring. Whether it's exploring a nearby city or traveling to someplace new, I love to see places and try things I've never done before. I crave adventure and I seek experiences. I think nothing makes a life more richer than memories filled with experience. I honestly think that's what we're here for; to experience life and all it has to offer. There's more to it than just working and making money. Money is good but it doesn't fulfill your soul like experience does. There's something I always make sure to go by and that is to make sure that I am trying something new or going somewhere I've never been. I enjoy NEW. I love the new memories. I love that my life is never going to me monotonous because of my crave for new. I'm living to live.
What a tragedy it would be to look back on my life and see that all I've done is work. I mean don't get me wrong, work is work and we all have to do it. But I know I was given the gift of life to do more than just dedicate my days to work. I wanna look back on my life and see that I've done as much as I could with my life. And that means challenging myself to new things, new places, new people. I would never want to just live by the same routine day in and day out. You have to ask yourself, are you really living? Or are you just existing? Are you going about your day the same way? Or are you really reaching and experiencing the most that this world has to offer? GO OUT AND LIVE! Try a new restaurant, roller blade for the first time, bike by the beach, eat the new dessert, just try new things! It's a shame to just exist. You are more than just an existing person! There's more to life than what you've been doing. Live up your life to its full potential! Do all that you can and you'll look back on a life of richness.

A Little Rosey

I've been looking for this kind of dress for SOO long that when I finally came across it at Forever 21 I literally screamed a little inside (ok I did a lot), but whatever. I seen a girl wear one like this once and I had been on the lookout for it ever since. So thank you to Forever 21 for reading my mind! Suns out so that means that the shoulders and legs come out too. I love basking in the sun and love doing it in a sundress. Anything with the floral embroidery is my kind of thing so I kept it casual with these cognac wedges from DSW. Another item that I've been looking all over for. An off the shoulder top with a detailed choker is the perfect combo in my book and the perfect way to pull an outfit together. I hope you enjoy the look!

Fields of Flowers

The more I explore the more I am in awe of this planet we call home. As I open my eyes to new things that I don't always get to see, a part of my heart gets happy. To be able to eyewitness such natural beauty is something I'm definitely so grateful for. The Flower Fields in Carlsbad are beautiful! (And that's an understatement.) I had never been to a flower field/farm before and I was so excited to go! I'm a person who loves color so to see rows and rows of colorful flowers was breathtaking. I kept the look casual for this one and one color palette to let the flowers do their job of standing out. Although I am posing in front of them, they definitely steal the show! I highly recommend any of you in the Southern California area to visit this place, you won't be disappointed! Enjoy the look!
