LA's Fall

I totally want to start wearing black turtlenecks with cute gingham skirts in light of the Fall season coming up but sometimes this LA weather be playing me; aka giving me 80+ degree weather. So for now, I can do half and half. I can never get tired of this mustard color because it's such a Fall color and I love it so much! So half of the outfit is Fall with the mustard top and then the shorts come in to compensate for the end of Summer. I wanted a reason to wear this cute kimono from Boohoo so I decided to layer it on top! Also, brought these cognac Steve Madden mules out to play! Enjoy the look!

Motivation Monday

One of the major keys to life and happiness is learning how to face the inconveniences and not allow them to turn into obstacles. Once you learn and realize that not everything deserves a major reaction from you, you've mastered your energy. Once you master your energy, you're allowing yourself the ability to put it towards more useful situations. When a problem occurs in your life it's easy to want to focus on it, get mad about it, let it consume your day, and get super upset at something like this is happening to you. I used to let minor problems take over my happiness and it consumed my day. But once I started to learn that problems come and go, they're here to teach us something, they don't stay forever and there's ALWAYS a solution, I was able to master my reactions into positive ones.
The more attention you give your problems, the more problems you'll attract in your life. (law of attraction.) But the more you focus on possibilities, solutions, ways to get out of your rut, the more you will see that there is tons of opportunities waiting for you. Your job is to focus on the positive and at times that might seem hard when you feel let down, or you feel like you don't deserve what you're going through. But let me be the one to tell you that a lot of things happen for a reason, if not ALL of them. They keep us on track for what's next and we are supposed to go through certain things to get us to the next triumph. Focus on solutions, things you can do to fix your problem or make it go away and you'll come up with tons of opportunities that will benefit you. The more positive you seek and think, the more you will bring.

Krazy Cup #MeetandEat

I've had a love affair with chili candy ever since I was little. In fact, there's proof in a picture that my mom has where I swear I'm eating Lucas at a QuinceƱera. So when Krazy Cup invited me over to try out their place, I was ECSTATIC! Their desserts are everything I've dreamt of. Tamarindo apples? Yes! Ice cream topped with as many topping choices as I want?! Double YES! Here's how it works:

1. You choose between cup sizes and you get to choose whether you want 2 flavors or 3 flavors if ice cream.
2. The flavors on the board are what they have.
3. You get the option of choosing the chili rim with yours if you'd like (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!)
4. They prepare your flavors and when ready, bring them out and have you choose what toppings you'd like on top. And let me tell you...They're endless! You have anything from chips, to fruit, Mexican candy, peanuts, the list goes on. It's every Mexican candy lovers dream come true aka MY DREAM COME TRUE.

I chose two flavors and I piled on my toppings. It was so delicious and I finished it all. They also offer other desserts such as the Tamarindo apples which I also got; which you can also choose toppings for as well! They have cucumber shots (def getting those next time!). They also carry agua frescas which looked so delicious! And the price?! Definitely reasonable and nothing over the top. So if you haven't drooled enough with me just talking about it, enjoy the pictures! Krazy Kup is located at: 6033 Atlantic Blvd, Maywood, CA, 90270 and they're open from 12 PM to 10 PM.

Give them a try and tell them I sent ya!

Don't forget to let them know that Karina sent ya! ;)

Matchy Matchy

It's no secret that I love Boohoo and all its sales, so it's really a no brainer to say that this two piece set is from Boohoo; and YES GURL! I got it on sale. If you haven't shopped on there, you're missing out. Anyway, I'm a lover of all things ots and culotte pants. I love culotte pants number one reason being is because I'm short, so that means I don't have to get them cut. This outfit is more of a Summer look, but it's still hot so we're just gonna roll with it. I layered my usual necklaces with other chokers (also from Boohoo) and I love the dainty yet statement vibe it gives off! Not gonna lie, I love the Summer outfits but I am so ready for some cozy clothes. How about you? Enjoy the look!

Motivation Monday

One of the major keys to happiness is to enjoy what you have, even if it's not all that you want. The worst thing you can do is continuously focus on not having enough or not being where you want to be. We have to see the things that we DO have in our lives and realize that we are already blessed in many ways. The present moment is what matters because when you really think about it, we're never going to get this exact moment again. Soak it all in and enjoy it while you can. Life is always changing, moving, and evolving. We're never going to be in the same spot for quite long. That goes for the bad as well, it comes and it goes. Your goal should be to live in the present moment, be here in the now, focus on the future with good thoughts, and never dwell on the past.
A lot of us are always focusing on what and where we want to be and forget that we've come so far already. When we get down on ourselves we do the worst like focus on the negatives, compare our lives to others (which by the way can be detrimental), and we keep wondering why we are where we are. But what you have to realize is that every moment in life is meant to happen the way that it has. You may not realize it yet, but everything happens for a reason. Where you go, the trials you face, the places you pass all lead you to your destiny. Do yourself a favor and stop focusing on what others have and their journey. NO TWO JOURNEYS ARE THE SAME. What's for them might not be what's for you and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll be happy. Everyone goes through life stages differently. Your journey is yours and don't ever think that it's supposed to be a certain cookie cutter way. Everything will unravel in its own way and its own pace, so just enjoy the now and keep working hard towards your future.

Bikini Bottom

Back at it again with another beach shoot! This the second look I did for the "Farewell to Summer" idea I had in my head. Let me just start off by saying that I got both these bikini pieces at Target on sale! Yes girl, go on and get yourself some too! I wanted to be a little more boho for this look hence my maxi skirt and me spinning around. (so boho) I know technically it's not Fall yet but seems like everyone is ready except the weather. So for now I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. (Summer is my fave season!) Enjoy this look and happy Friday!
