ShortCut

I did it. I took the plunge and cut my hair! I haven't had short hair since I was like 16 years old. I've had long hair the majority of my life and I had been wanting a change for quite sometime now but couldn't find the courage to do it. I was afraid I guess you can say, afraid of missing my long hair or regretting it. But honestly, it's been almost 2 weeks and I still have no regrets! Maybe it's because I had a good long run with short hair that I finally feel like I can breathe again. I'm so glad it turned out exactly how I wanted it to! What do you guys think? Oh and of course there's nothing better than to show off a new do with a new dress. I absolutely love a backless dress and I think it's more appropriate to show off the back with a short cut. This cute dress is from Tobi and I love the olive green color for this Fall season. It's time to pull out the darker colors people! The criss cross tie detail in the front along with the back make for a perfect transition to Fall outfit. Happy Friday!

Fall Bloom

I'm counting down the days until I can really wear a sweater and not sweat every time I step outside of an air conditioned place. We had what you would call a heat wave this weekend so sweaters were nowhere to be found in my wardrobe. It's more like a skirt and a crop top to get through the day. This ensemble from Tobi was especially perfect because of the double slits on both sides that went up just high enough to enjoy some extra breeze when needed. The criss cross detail in the front was a nice detailed touch to what would otherwise be a normal crop top. Did I mention how much I love criss cross trend right now? I stayed simple with the accessories because sometimes less is more. I hope you enjoy this look!

Let's Talk Tuesday

I'm about to somewhat personal on here so beware. I'm not too sure if you've noticed, but I've been slacking. I've been slacking on my beloved blog, on my YouTube channel, and just life in general. I've been struggling lately with some things and it's gotten to the point where it's affected the things that I've enjoyed doing for so long. That's how I know it's become a real problem. I know that it's so easy for us to just put on a facade and put the best moments of our life on social media, making it seem like everything is all chipper and dandy. When in reality, there's so much more to it than just a perfect blogger with perfect clothes and perfect hair. I am a person, I'm a human being and I'm far from perfect. I struggle with everyday life and some moments are harder than others. I deal with anxiety and slight depression at times and it really puts a damper on my mood. It has been so hard to function past it and do regular things that I normally do. Going through this has made me realize that even though something or someone looks great on the outside, you don't really know what is really going on on the inside.
So of course, going through this rough time I've come to realize that, one, I want everyone to know that just because I put up good pictures and look "perfect" doesn't mean that I am; so don't you think for a second that you're missing something yourself to be perfect because you're not. And two, you can't really judge someone based off of what they choose to show you online and assume that there's nothing wrong because you don't really know the half of it. So with that being said, I choose to be less judgmental of others. I choose to look at others with a kinder heart in hopes of spreading some light on the fact that we don't really know someone or what they're going through until we get to know them.

This goes for us also looking at social media and wishing that our lives were different and just as great as what we see online. That "fomo" or (fear of missing out) syndrome we all get when we wish we were doing what the other people were doing. Let that go and know that not everyone is what they seem to be. Not even me. Be kind to those you pass by on your way to work or those that you see online. Smile at someone, compliment someone on their outfit, say good morning, just do something nice because you don't really know how much of a difference that can make to someone. We all have our battles, big or small, but one thing is for sure; WE ARE ALL HUMAN. Be nice and treat others the way you want to be treated. Don't assume, don't pick yourself apart for not having a life like theirs. You are you, and that's all you need to be. As I'm working on me, work on you and remember to be kind. I hope you enjoy your Tuesday!

Moody

Okay, it's the first day of Fall so do you think that this weather can spare some gloomy days for us to celebrate? Probably not but I'll partake in the festivities anyway. Which means, bring on the fall colors and pants! My first Fall outfit wouldn't be complete without some killer olive pants and a nice dark lip. I'm a sucker for flare pants and even more so when they're soft and have some cute detail in the front. These pants from Tobi are no exception when it comes to just that and not to mention, they complete my Fall ensemble for me. The graphic tee along with the choker are my welcome to Fall pieces. What are yours?
