Golden Girl

There comes a time where you have to stop shopping and re-shop your closet. That time has come for me. Yes, I'm running out of room and I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Obviously I love shopping but I can't keep this up until I clear some stuff out. So in the meantime, I'm going to be finding new ways to wear old things. Think of it as "options." So today I'm wearing this gold dotted tee from Lucy and Lyla and I decided to dress up this time so I reached for some heels instead. The black pleated shorts from H&M are a great way to dress up the outfit as well since it gives off a more classy and chic vibe. I think that I'm liking the heels so don't be surprised when you see them more on the blog. Enjoy the look!

Nightly Stroll

I know I was complaining about the time change in another post but the upside to the whole Spring Forward thing? Longer days and warmer nights. Warmer nights mean wearing shorts and it being okay to do so. When the weather agrees with your outfit, it's a win win. I wanted to give my (p)leather shorts from H&M another try so I came up with this dark colored outfit to match my nightly mood. I kept the colors dark just because I felt like it went together well. The green of the flannel really pops against the black points and I dig it. I went for my fav "edgy" lipstick from MAC (Stone) -- it's like a grayish brown tone and I love it! The black choker along with the clutch added a nice touch. I can't wait for the warmer nights so I can really take full advantage. Happy hump day!

Motivation Monday

If there's one thing I've learned in this life, it's that you have to learn to live your life for you. One of the hardest things to do is to learn to forget what other people say and just solely focus on what you want and what you think. Whatever you're going through in life, you have to remember that the only voice or opinion that should matter is your own. The things that you want to achieve and want to set your mind on are all that you should care about and you should remember that people will always talk. But don't let their talk be the reason why you stop.
The only expectations that you should care about or let affect you are your own. I know it's easier said than done and it's so easy to get caught up in other's opinions, thoughts, he said she said, but you have to remember that what matters is deep down inside and the values you hold within yourself. If you went ahead and let everyone's ideas consume yours, you would be living for everyone else and in the end fall short of making yourself happy. Forget what other people think and feel like they have to say. As long as you're happy, then that's all that matters! Keep the tunnel vision going. Live and breathe your own ideas and your own expectations and remember to let go of everything else. Other people's thoughts aren't going to be the ones that make you happy! You are responsible for your own happiness, so make sure that your opinion is the only one you care about!
HAPPY MONDAY!

Copper Tone

I don't know about you but I am loving the time change just for the simple fact that I get to see more sun. No, I don't like that I lost an hour of sleep; that time is precious to me, but I do enjoy the sun rays. Before we know it Spring will be here and then BAM the heat wave along with shorts and crop tops will be back on. I can't wait! So help contain my excitement, I'm transitioning myself slowly into the season. Dressing like Summer but still keeping a bit covered like Spring. I wanted to wear this black dress from Forever 21 again. (I wore it here last) But this time I needed a different spin on it, some type of color to welcome the Spring season. Since it was a bit chilly I opted for my copper colored kimono also from Forever 21 and paired it with these heels for some height. It's nice Spring colors but it does the job; enjoy the look!
