Silky Smooth

What better way to end the year then in an all black ensemble? I don't have any New Years plans at the moment but if I did, I would probably choose to wear this cute slip dress from StyleWe! I had my eyes set on it when I first came across the beauty on the website. Nothing says sexy and chic like a silky slip dress. The fact that you can wear this dress casually or formally is just an ultimate plus! I decided to keep the accessories minimal with just a dainy choker necklace. But of course what better way to stay in season than with some black sock booties? Just perfect! I hope you all enjoy the look and happy Friday/Happy new year! See you next year!

Cape Town

I've wanted one of these blazers for the longest time and I finally got my hands on one from Shein. I'm more into classic pieces as of late so this one was perfect to add to my wardrobe. I didn't want to be too "office wear" so I went for the more casual look. Nothing says casual like a skirt in California winter and some booties. The cape blazer is a piece that is comfortable, looks professional, but doesn't keep you constricted. (Meaning I can move my arms around and not feel stuck!) I made it the focus piece by keeping the top white with a jean skirt. I hope you like the look and don't forget to check out Shein for some cute and affordable stuff!

Motivation Monday

I mean it when I say that patience is really the key to getting anything you want. That and believing what you want to really be yours. The toughest part of the whole process is actually having the faith and sticking to it amidst the reality that surrounds you. This year has been really great but also really tough for me. I've enjoyed a lot but also endured some tough battles. As I was having a tough time most recently, I was looking for anything to get me to think and see straight; something to keep me going. This quote couldn't have come to me at a much more needed time.
As the year comes to an end I really want to focus on leaving all the bad behind. I want to train myself to really get into the habit of thinking positive and putting my faith into something greater. Our thoughts become things and if I keep my focus on solely what I want, the rest is history. It's the believing in the unseen that us as humans find hard to wrap our heads around. The time that something might take is totally dependent on what we think. Anything is possible and everything happens for a reason. Those are the two sayings that I believe to be 100% true. Let us let go and let God take care of our prayers. Put our faith into him and believe that he's got us. When I think like that, the weight that's been on my shoulders lifts a bit and I feel like I can finally breathe again. As long as my faith is in tact and I KNOW that anything is possible, that anything can change in a matter of minutes, my time will come. I hope you ring in the new year with the same faith and watch your wishes come true. Happy holidays and happy new year!

So it's currently rainy and cold out right now but I wore this little cute number last week. I know I've said before that I like the heat/Summer, but these rainy days have kind of grew on me. I received this cute dress from Make Me Chic and instantly wanted to wear it. I love the lace up detail in the front and especially love that it says California on it. (For obvious reasons!) This is definitely a dress that can be worn in the colder months with some nylons underneath along with these booties. I just couldn't wait and jumped the gun when I got it. The material is soft and I've already washed it (didn't shrink) to wear it with something warmer! Happy Friday and I hope you enjoy the look!
