Motivation Monday!

Ask yourself what matters more; what people think about you, or what you ultimately think and feel about yourself? At this point in time with all the social media pressure that surrounds us with all the likes, comments, and standards that we feel like we have to keep up with, it's really hard to choose ourselves over choosing what it is that the people want. Being a blogger and constantly posting content, it IS hard to not ultimately think about what people think about you. You are constantly posting content to ultimately have people view your look and like it. But there's a fine line between having people enjoying your blog and having people liking it. No matter what though, through this whole process and throughout life, we have to remember that whatever we do has to ultimately make ourselves happy. When you start doing something because you think it'll please others or make them happy, that's how you know you've gone too far.
When it becomes more of a chore and figuring out what it is that pleases people, rather than what makes you happy to do, you've gotten to the point of only caring about others opinions. You've sucked the fun out of why you started and simply have gotten lost in the midst of trying to fit in. The whole point of being YOU is that you are different, you are here to show people what it is about that makes you stand out. That is simply why I refuse to conform myself and my "brand" to what is more fitting into the blogger world. You have to continue doing what makes you happy because your success is going to come because of YOU and how you are, not what others want you to be. Show the world what you're made of and remember to do it with pride! Most importantly, stay honorable, true, and be yourself.
HAPPY MONDAY!

Cool for Fall

I know, I'm totally dressed like an oxymoron but hey, that's what fashion is all about; being different. It's totally normal in LA to dress like you're ready for not one seasons, but two. In this case, I'm totally fine wearing a sweater top along with the some over the knee boots. It works for me. I get pretty tired of waiting around for the weather to catch up to the season so I take matters into my own hands and kind of go halfway. I really liked the way this outfit turned out because of the chic vibe it gave off. I hardly wear pants so I was pleased to know that these still fit like a glove. This sweater top had been in my closet for some time so it was due to get taken out. I wanted to leave some skin showing which is why I opted for the red bralette. Of course I had to keep the skin baring to a minimum which is why I wore the jeans and over the knee boots. Hooray for the perfect weather for this outfit!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! I could go on and on about being thankful and how we should always practice gratitude throughout our day and not just on this day, but I think I do enough of that on my Motivation Mondays. I just wanted to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving and I hope that you've spent it with family and lots of food. We have to remember to always cherish the times we get with family and make sure to enjoy it all. I wore this outfit for Thanksgiving because 1, pants are just too tight for all that food and 2, I need room for my aftermath food baby. I wanted to still look chic and cute without being too casual. Plus, I wanted to also be warm since the temps have dropped dramatically. Of course, I went with over the knee boots for that classic look with the dress, and it helps that they're long so it's kinda like I'm wearing pants! I added a pop of red with the lipstick to go against my rather neutral palette. This outfit kept me warm and gave me room to breath after. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

A Day At The Broad

I've always been a fan of exploring. Getting out and seeing new things is something I'd love to do more often. It also helps living so close to Los Angeles where there is ALWAYS places to go and people to see. I finally made my way to the fairly new The Broad museum, right next to Disney Concert Hall and the best part? IT'S FREE! It featured a wide range of art collections and I knew that it was a must see. Although I was a bit sad that I didn't get to go into the Infinity Room (picture a sparkly mirror room) because the wait list was full, I did get to explore and see what The Broad had to offer. Can I just say that sometimes I really get art and sometimes, I don't. Am I the only one? Anyway, here's what I saw! Enjoy the pics!
